Marcia Malinova-Anthony is a Bulgarian writer and artist who migrated to Australia in 1979 and lives there ever since. She is well known for her exclusive mundane and spiritual poetry and prose. But she also is the creator of art works – paintings, prints and illustrations, as well as the innovative and unique lyrical film “The Tear-Drop of the Clown”.
Marcia’s major books are “Life in Heaven”, “Cosmic Poetry”, “Southern Cross”,”Born in Heaven”, “If I were a King”, “The Glass Palace” and “Born of God”. There are two distinctive periods in her writing – mundane and spiritual. The book “SOUTHERN CROSS” contains her mundane poetry. Part of it is presented in her extraordinary film “The Tear-Drop of the Clown”, available in both languages – Bulgarian and English.
“LIFE IN HEAVEN” is a novel describing the invisible worlds and the activity of the departing spirit after death. It is in great demand in Bulgaria. This book is under translation in English and soon will appear here.
“COSMIC POETRY” is an exalted lyric about the Universe, the Cosmic Laws and man as integral part of it all. It is deeply inspirational. Unfortunately it is not translated in English so far.
“BORN IN HEAVEN” – a poetry book about the tragic death of her two sons, book in great demand.
“IF I WERE A KING” is a book presenting Marcia’s ideas of sweeping social reforms and her vision for a new social structure for Bulgaria, based on free initiative and true individual freedom to create, invent and explore.
“THE GLASS PALACE” explains the nature of schizophrenia and the obsession. In Marcia’s opinion schizophrenia is not an illness but a state of mind and it is absolutely curable, not through medication though, but through deep understanding of what is happening and spiritual work aiming to strengthen the spirit.
“BORN OF GOD” – the latest book, showing the true mission of man and his destiny to become god of himself.
Marcia’s artistic works are also presented in this site, as well as some photos from her life activities.
Marcia has a broad range of creativity. Author of 12 poetic books she doesn’t stop here. In 1993-95 she presented to the world her innovative lyrical film “The Tear-Drop of the Clown”. It is entirely “one-woman’s” film – she alone filmed, edited, recorded music, recited, acted – showing that poetry can also be filmed – not statically, but in a dynamic and a totally impressive plan. Today many people experiment with a video camera. But Marcia’s film was created in those early years of the 90-s, when the technique wasn’t so sophisticated and few would dare to take on a such a grand project. The film is almost 7 hours long and Marcia worked on it for three years sixteen hours a day, while only 20 seconds finished material per day could be achieved then. In 1995 the film was presented to The Nobel Committee in Sweden.
Marcia is spending her latest years of her life in spiritual endeavours trying to spread the valuable knowledge she was blessed with. She firmly believes that humanity can emancipate itself from suffering and achieve a great state through Eternal Wisdom and by conforming to the Cosmic Laws.
